Brake Check Procedure

Check seat
Check seat belt
Adjust seat
Check horn
Put seat belt on
Make sure the bus is in neutral
Turn to night run
Check ABS light turns off in a few seconds
Safe start bus
Turn on fast idle
Wait for rear air tank to fill (120 lbs)
Turn off bus
Turn bus to night run
Take parking brake off
Press down on brake steadily for 60 sec
Should not lose more than 3 psi on rear tank
Low pressure warning
Pump down till alarm and light turn on between 55 and 75
Continue to pump down till parking brake pops
Above 25 psi
Start bus
Let air build back up to 120 lbs
Put bus in drive
Roll forward no more than 5 MPH
Softly press brake and stop
Roll forward again no more than 5 MPH
Hard press brake and stop
Open front or back doors and take foot off brake
Bus should not move
If no errors, your brake test is finished
